Starting in June, AIR is organizing Multiple Session Screen Printing Classes for beginners and advanced printmakers.

These classes will provide all the basic information, instruction and equipment needed to create multiple color screenprints for the beginner, while also providing the same access to equipment and expertise that will allow the experienced printer to develop and execute new screenprinting projects during these sessions.

The fee for these 4 classes will be $200 to be paid upon registration. Please go to the website and register for the class through the “services” area of the site.

Class 1 will include basic photoshop, image preparation, filmmaking for screenprinting and the basics of screen processing and exposures. Images for use during the next classes will be finalized.

Class 2 will involve the completion of all image prep and screen processing work from class 1 along with basic print station set up and proofing. Multiple color registration, stencil methods and other techniques will be discussed.

Class 3 includes further discussion and demonstration about how to organize multiple color print possibilities and multiple color registration. Engineering of how final images will be developed and printed will be determined by the end of this class.

Class 4 will involve the independent printing of all projects with oversight and assistance as needed per participant.
