Artists Image Resource (AIR) is an artist-run nonprofit print and imaging laboratory for artists, educators, and the community.
Established in 1996 on the Northside of Pittsburgh, AIR brings established and emerging
artists together in a dynamic environment that fosters experimentation, individuality, and
peer mentorship.
AIR provides equipment, materials and technical assistance that empowers individuals,
and artist collectives to advance their creative voices.
When the COVID pandemic hit, AIR lost virtually all earned revenue from its community
access and educational programs and continues to operate at a limited capacity to keep
COVID safety protocols at the forefront of activity at the studio.
