In lieu of more conventional classes, workshops and tutorials, AIR offers stackable learning blocks to artists interested in obtaining a functional knowledge of various print processes. Generally, blocks consist of 4-hour sessions that include materials, instruction, access to equipment and studio time. The studio continues to process photo silkscreens for artists and others. Images up to 12 x 18 on screens up to 23 x 31 are standard. Larger images and screens up to 32 x 48 can be processed and purchased on a case-by-case basis. The studio continues to provide educational support services to educators, schools, organizations, and individual young people. AIR also provides hands-on printing activities for community events and festivals. Educational support can include single session projects, studio tours and workshops at AIR and off site at client venues or more curricular projects can be developed that can include multiple studio visits over the course of a semester. AIR continues to provide semester long “assistantships” for both young adult and high school youth in or outside of university and school programs.
