Mill Project (1996)

The prints shown are 22” x 30” screenprints printed as part of AIR’s first Resident Project cycle in 1996. The project included the manipulation of blueprints and other materials acquired from closed steel mill sites around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prints were created on paper and steel. Blueprints were used to skin large sculptural frameworks installed as part of the exhibition.

(A suite of 4 prints was created, each in an edition of 8 to 10 on Lenox paper. AIR retained 5 impressions from each edition. Prints are for sale). Printers included Ian Short, Robert Beckman and others.
