Over several years, Artists Image Resource and West Virginia University have built an impressive partnership that includes internships, faculty projects, and support for young artists as they launch their professional practices in what can be a complicated arts landscape.

 

Each year in the fall a few undergraduate students commit to a semester working in the AIR studios. In the Spring AIR hosts a Graduate / Undergraduate Exhibition of new work by a diverse range of young working artists.

 

Over the past couple of years the partnership has expanded to include an Open Portfolio event that provides connection between several area universities and printmaking programs. This Open Portfolio Event serves as a closing for the West Virginia University Spring Exhibition.
